Shipping & Insurance Policy

Shipping Policy

In-stock items ship within 1 business day of receiving payment. Pre-orders will be shipped within 2 business days of the anticipated release date, while back-order items will be dispatched within 2 business days of arriving at our warehouse. We strive to ensure timely delivery for all our customers. During peak sales months: June, July, November, and December, items will take an additional 1 business day to ship out from our warehouse. For example, in-stock items ship within 2 business days of receiving payment during peak sales months.

In the event of a temporary closure of the online shop, LaiLai's Cards reserves the right to delay the shipment of orders.

Free Canada-wide Shipping (with tracking and insurance) on orders over the specific amount detailed below: 

  • Free Shipping Over $200 for Ontario, Quebec, ManitobaBritish Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia.

  • Free Shipping Over $300 for Yukon, Nunavut, Northwest Territories, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Any orders that are less than the free shipping thresholds are subject to the following shipping fees, in addition to the order:

  • $12 for Ontario, Quebec, and Manitoba if the order amount is below $200.

  • $16 for British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia if the order amount is below $200.

  • $26 for Yukon, Nunavut, Northwest Territories, Newfoundland and Labrador if the order amount is below $300.

We do not offer international shipping or shipping to freight/parcel forwarding companies/services.

Customer responsibility to ensure the correct shipping address:

Please carefully review your shipping address before placing your order. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the shipping address is correct. If the address is incorrect when making the order, the customer must contact LaiLai's Cards as soon as possible to correct the shipping address before shipment. 

If no attempt is made by the customer to correct the shipping address with LaiLai's Cards before shipping an order then it is the customer's responsibility to contact the shipping courier to correct the address or attempt to retrieve the package.

In the event that the package is returned to LaiLai's Cards (i.e., returned to sender), the customer can choose one of the following options: (1) Refund of the order (excluding original shipping costs) or (2) Re-shipping of the package to the correct address. The customer will be charged the standard shipping rate for their province.

Insurance Policy

We're delighted to offer free shipping insurance with every purchase made on our website. This means that regardless of the value of your order, you're automatically covered against loss, theft, or damage during transit at no extra cost to you.

Here's what our shipping insurance includes:

  • Comprehensive Coverage: Your package is protected from the moment it leaves our warehouse until it arrives safely at your doorstep.

  • FREE/No Additional Cost: We believe in providing peace of mind with every order, which is why shipping insurance is included with all purchases.

  • Coverage Details:

    • Lost Packages: If your package goes missing during transit, we'll investigate and either locate it or reimburse you accordingly.

    • Stolen Packages: In the rare event of theft, you're covered for the value of the lost items.

    • Damaged Packages: Should your package arrive in a damaged condition, we'll assist you in assessing the damage and provide compensation.

How to File an Insurance Claim:

To start an insurance claim, please follow these steps:

  1. Email Notification: Send an email to info@lailaiscards.ca within 24 hours of the expected delivery date if you encounter any issues with your shipment.

  2. Theft Reporting: If a package has been delivered but is suspected to have been stolen (e.g., porch piracy), please take the following actions:

    • Email us at info@lailaiscards.ca within 24 hours of the delivery date.

    • File a police report with your local authorities.

    • Provide us with a copy of the police report including the case report ID/number.

  3. Issuing a Replacement Order or Refund: Once the claim has been processed and approved, a replacement order or refund will be issued. Claim processing typically takes 3 to 11 business days. However, processing times are extended to 12 to 25 business days during peak sales months: June, July, November, and December.

Important Notes:

  • Claims Are Time-Sensitive: Filing a claim is highly time-sensitive. Please ensure to notify us within 24 hours of the expected delivery date or the discovery of theft.

  • Claim Deadline (for thefts and damage): Insurance coverage is null and void after 5 days of the official delivery date.
